Established in 1986, GSB Prospection was the first independent consultancy for geophysics in archaeology and has grown to become the largest group of archaeological geophysicists in the UK.
We specialise in the non-invasive evaluation of sites for archaeologists, planners and developers. In addition to our evaluation work, consultancy, research and the publication of articles form an important part of our services.
To date we have carried out surveys on over 2000 projects, primarily in the UK, but including work in Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Egypt, Eire, The Faroe Isles, France, Greece, Norway, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, USA and Zimbabwe. We have also been involved with the Time Team since its inception in 1993.
We operate according to the standards and codes of practice set down by the Institute of Field Archaeologists(IFA).
